Dear Chibinda,
This letter is close to my heart, and am not discounting any of what I have already told you! I remember on your 3rd birthday going with your mother to get you a present. After my insistance on a pair of sneakers she asked me, “Are you sure you’re buying these because of the way they would look on your son or yourself?” That’s how today’s letter feels, like the advice I still need to give myself!
- You don’t have to figure out everything by yourself. Get mentors and create a circle of trusted friends!
